OUR MISSION: The Orange County Parks and Recreation Department is dedicated to the purpose of enriching the physical, social and emotional quality of life of the people of Orange County. We pledge to provide a variety of enjoyable and affordable recreation programs for individuals of all ages and abilities. We strive to offer programs that respond to the changing needs and interests of our community. Within the limitations of our resources, we promise to provide clean and safe parks, preserves and greenways throughout the County and through our partnerships with the Towns of Chapel Hill, Carrboro, Hillsborough and Mebane. We will protect and preserve the elements of natural and cultural heritage within our parks and promote the stewardship of these sites through educational and conservational programs and practices. Our Department works hard to help Orange County residents, neighbors and visitors enjoy life through our recreational opportunities and our parks.

If you can not find what you are looking for on our web site, try Chapel Hill or Carrboro Recreation & Parks departments.
