Water Billing Error in Printing.
November 2008

There was an error in the printing of your November water and sewer billing. The “current month’s charges” were doubled – showing the amount in the “current month” and the “past due” balance. Please deduct the “current month’s charges” from your “total due” and that is the amount you should pay. Your balance is correct on our computer system – it is only incorrect on the printed copy of your bill. For our customers on automatic draft, the correct amount of your bill will be drafted on November 10. Thank you for your understanding of this printing error.

Thank you
Town of Mooresville Business Office

October 2008

Since 1873, many have been proud to call Mooresville home.  What was once a scattering of farms, grew into a close-knit community of shopkeepers, grocers, mill workers, bankers, lawyers and others who shaped the Old Town Mooresville we enjoy today.

Join us on a special historical tour of nine private homes and two downtown buildings and learn about Mooresville's rich history and the efforts of today's residents to preserve and enrich it.

The Library's Special Collections Department needs your help .

October 2008

One of the oldest known images of Mooresville was recently donated to the Library's Special Collections Department.  Much can be told from the photgraph, such as location, approximate date and key buildings.  One piece of the mystery is the two small childern in the photograph.  If you have any information please contact Andy Poore at the Mooresville Public Library.  Mr. Poore has provied a write-up on the photograph.

Also if anyone has images or video of a historical time in Mooresville's past they can also contact Mr. Poore.  A few examples would be the building of the lake or the Robert E. Lee.
