Los Banos is located in California's Central Valley approximately 70 miles northwest of Fresno, 80 miles east of the Pacific Ocean and 120 miles south of Sacramento.
Los Banos is basically an agricultural area with major crops being tomatos, almonds, walnuts and a variety of other fruit, nuts and row crops. Los Banos' central location makes it possible to visit the San Francisco, Yosemite and many other prime tourist area in under a two hour drive. | Located at the intersection of Main (6th) and H Street is the Henry Miller Plaza. The plaza features the founder of our town along with his trademark; cattle. The site was, in years past, the home of the railroad depot on the rail corridor that is now available for development. |
